Maryam Akhavan, Artist

Maryam Akhavan was born in 1961 in Mashhad, Iran. She started learning painting at the age of 10 and fulfilled her passion by obtaining academic education and professional certificates from Art schools, colleges and universities in field of painting and graphic design. She has twenty years of professional experience in teaching various methods of fine arts and visual arts such as mixed media, charcoal drawing, oil, watercolor and color pencil painting, palette Knife oil painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics etc. She also works with the graphical software such as CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe In-design. She has been always impassioned and spirited about learning and exploring different styles, techniques and methods of painting and has held both national and international exhibitions and many workshops for adults and children. She established a painting school for adults and children in 1995 and to date she has trained many students who are currently teach and hold exhibitions.
